Gateway Community High is a new, small “alternative” high school commencing operation in Carlingford in January 2021.

We are seeking a very special person to be part of our inaugural team, reporting to the Principal.

The School will provide opportunities for young people to thrive in an educational setting tailored to support their learning and belonging. Commencing with 30 Stage 5 students from 2021 we will be offering a NESA curriculum which enables students to attain their ROSA.  We plan to grow to a maximum of 80 students over the next 3 years.

As a Special Assistance School this low/no fee school will offer a flexible, engaging and practical learning environment for students to reconnect with their education and set a new direction. Designed to cater for students, that for various reasons, might achieve their educational goals, feel a sense of belonging and achieve personal growth outside a mainstream school setting. The school is not a behavioural or special school but will offer positive, personalised and inclusive learning experiences.

Gateway Community High is an initiative of Macquarie Community College, a highly regarded not for profit adult education provider, operating across NorthWest and Western Sydney for more than 70 years. The School has its own dedicated premises on the Macquarie Community College site at Carlingford.
